What-to-Expect Video

The week for regathering at SCNAZ has finally arrived! We know you have questions about what to expect and how to prepare…so read on for the details.

SCHEDULE?

9am – Praise Service

11am – FUEL Service

6pm – Celebrate Recovery Service

Each worship service will continue to be livestreamed and online worship is encouraged for those who cannot attend in person at this time. Each service will last one hour.

MASKS?

Yes! Wear a mask or face covering. It is a requirement that everyone (adults and children) wear face coverings for worship services. We have a small supply of masks for those who do not have one….but please plan to bring your own face covering.

SOCIAL DISTANCING?

Yes! We will follow social distancing guidelines upon entering the church building and while worshipping together in the sanctuary. Floor markers will help us maintain the recommended 6 feet of distance between individuals and family units. Sanctuary chairs are placed 6 feet apart.  Please no hugs or handshakes.

HAND SANITIZER?

Yes! Hand sanitizing stations are available at the entrance (First Café) and exit (sanctuary foyer). Everyone is encouraged to sanitize upon entering.

ENTER and EXIT?

Enter at First Café double doors (through courtyard on Kentucky Street). This is the ONLY entrance into the church building. The doors will open 15 minutes prior to the start time of each worship service. Doors open at 8:45 (PRAISE), 10:45 (FUEL), 5:45 (Celebrate Recovery). There is ONE EXIT…when exiting the sanctuary, use the double doors from the foyer onto Walnut Street. At the end of each service, ushers will dismiss the congregation by individuals/family units (beginning with those seated at the back).

SEATING?

The sanctuary is set up with 150 plastic chairs that are spaced in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Please arrive with the people you want to sit with and follow the floor markers in the First Café leading into the sanctuary. Process of being seated is similar to that of a wedding, as individuals/groups will wait to be seated by an usher. Chairs will be filled front to back in order to maximize space. Ushers will adjust the placement of chairs if needed to accommodate everyone.

CLEANING?

Yes! Immediately following each service, every chair and common surface will be sanitized.

CHILDREN?

Yes! Children are welcome to attend worship services. There are no children’s ministries or childcare areas open at this time. Each child will be provided with a “worship bag” with some fun activities to do during the service. We understand that some children will become restless and babies will need attention during services. The nursery is open for parents to take children who need to leave the sanctuary. Children’s restroom also available in the nursery.

RESTROOMS?

The men’s and women’s restrooms in the sanctuary foyer are open but ONLY ONE PERSON at a time may occupy the restroom. A third, single occupant restroom is open in the First Café. These are the only restrooms open in the church building at this time.

OFFERING?

Yes! We are prepared to receive your tithe and offerings. But…NO! The offering plate will not be passed. All contributions can be placed in the new collection box located in the sanctuary foyer. You can plan to drop your offering in the locked box as you exit. Online giving is also encouraged!

QUESTIONS?

Please contact the church office or a staff member.  We would be glad to discuss any personal concerns with you.  We are excited about getting back together! But we also understand this is a time filled with lots of questions. As we navigate this strange time together, let us be encouraged by remembering we are all on the same team (even though we have different views about masks, distances and clean hands).  At SCNAZ, there is one biblical principle leading us as we regather: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR! (Mark 12:31)
